Hanzo’s Dojo is a stunning slot on every level.
If martial arts are your thing then look no further than Hanzo’s Dojo and its Japanese theme.
The instant you open this slot, you’re thrown into a vibrant dojo setting complete with a greeting from a sumo wrestler, preparing you for what is to come. Surprisingly tranquil and serene, except when the big wins and the sumo drop; Hanzo’s Dojo is the ultimate oriental getaway. Hone your skills, play against those “reel” warriors and you might soon earn enough to head to Japan yourself.
The game itself is five reels, three rows and twenty-five paylines. All of this is set on a beautifully designed Japanese dojo complete with lucky lions, cherry blossoms and lanterns adorning the sides. To add to the intrigue, there is an extra three-reeled row hidden up in the rooftop that spins independently to the rest of the reels.
There are four main symbols each denoted by a different martial arts character and all looking rather threatening. There is a hooded ninja, angry sumo, a samurai warrior and a fan-wielding femme fatale. There are four lower value icons complementing these characters, each a creatively designed element of a different colour. A wild symbol is represented by a golden mask, free spins by a golden gong and Hanzo, head of the dojo, is an extra bonus.
There are three positions on the Roof Row and these can only be filled with one of the three bonus icons. If a single wild lands it will simply expand filling up the row directly below it potentially creating some great wins. The more you can line up there, the better. To get the benefits of the Hanzo bonus, he must fill all three spaces and when this is accomplished you’ll get three Hanzo spins. Not to be confused with free spins, the Hanzo spins have a 3×3 symbol fixed onto the central three reels.
The final Rooftop bonus is the Free Spins, where just having one on the reel will give you the same number of spins as the symbols on the extra boosters. One booster is awarded per symbol and these can be any of the following: two additional free spins, paylines that operate in both directions, 3×3 symbols nudged to better positions, a double multiplier or a fifth reel that becomes completely wild.
There is also a regular free spins round, which is triggered more traditionally, landing three of the scatters anywhere on the reels, including the Rooftop. You’ll simply receive the number of spins as shown on the symbols. You can even grab one of the boosters if a free spin symbol has landed in the Rooftop zones. To make things even more exciting, the central three reels become colossal reels with 3×3 giant symbols in play. Quite simply, it can’t get any better.
